Traffic in Dubai can sometimes be a significant challenge, particularly at certain busy locations where congestion is more the rule than the exception. For those who prefer a calmer drive or simply have no patience for long queues of cars, there are a few neighbourhoods it is best to avoid during peak hours.

These Dubai neighbourhoods are a nightmare if you dislike traffic jams

Dubai Marina is one such place where traffic often grinds to a halt. With all the skyscrapers, popular restaurants, and tourist attractions, it is no surprise that it is busy here daily. Jumeirah Beach Residence, better known as JBR, faces the same issue. This area attracts not only many tourists but also residents and day-trippers heading to the beach. As a result, cars are often bumper-to-bumper.

Another notorious location is Business Bay. This district, located right next to Downtown Dubai, is known as a business centre with many office buildings.
