In Dubai, you can lose almost anything, except your exit

Dubai is renowned for its safety and efficiency. It is not a problem if you lose your phone, wallet, or even your car. There is a good chance you will simply get them back. But what you absolutely must not lose is your exit on the motorway.

The infrastructure in Dubai is impressive, with modern motorways and clear signage. Nevertheless, one small mistake can have a big impact. A missed exit may seem innocent, but it can easily lengthen your journey significantly. A simple two-minute delay once turned into a 20-minute detour for me. This is because exits are often spaced far apart, and you sometimes have to drive a long way around to get back on the right track.

Everything is efficient, except for your second chance

In a city where everything runs smoothly and you rarely lose anything for good, missing an exit is surprisingly annoying. Even navigation apps often warn you too late, causing you to end up in a loop of bridges and exits. Especially during rush hour, such a mistake can cause considerable frustration.

Dubai is a city of precision and speed. And although almost everything here is arranged to near perfection, the roads are not forgiving for those who are not paying attention.
