The seven newly announced stations are:

  • Al Sila

What You Need to Know About the New Etihad Rail Service

The train service is scheduled to launch in 2026 and will open in phases. Ten of the thirteen trains have already been delivered and certified. Each train has capacity for up to 400 passengers and features both business and economy class. There are 16 business class seats and 56 economy seats per carriage, all equipped with Wi-Fi and power outlets.

The trains will reach speeds of up to 200 km/h, offering significant time savings compared to car travel. For example, a journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai will take just 57 minutes, compared to over two hours by car. Other travel times include:

  • Abu Dhabi to Fujairah: 100 minutes
  • Abu Dhabi to Al Ruwais: 70 minutes

The service will be operated by Keolis, the company that also manages public transport in France and Australia.

With this initiative, Etihad Rail brings not only speed and convenience but also a modern travel option for both residents and tourists wishing to explore the country.
