UAE Leads Global Millionaire Migration

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to attract the most millionaires globally in 2025. According to the Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025, an estimated 9,800 high-net-worth individuals are expected to relocate to the UAE this year. This places the country ahead of other popular destinations such as the United States (7,500), Italy (3,600), and Switzerland (3,000).

This growth in millionaires is attributed in part to the UAE’s tax-free policies, combined with political stability, security, and a high standard of living. The cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with their modern infrastructure and international connectivity, are particularly popular with wealthy migrants.

Countries such as Saudi Arabia (2,400), Singapore (1,600), Portugal (1,400), Greece (1,200), Canada, and Australia (both 1,000) also attract millionaires, but to a much lesser extent. This demonstrates that the UAE has clearly positioned itself as the preferred destination for international high-net-worth individuals.

Why Millionaires Choose the UAE

Several factors make the UAE an attractive destination. For instance, residents are not required to pay income or inheritance tax, and foreign income is also untaxed. Combined with a safe living environment, a pleasant climate, and a wide range of luxury real estate, it is no surprise that an increasing number of millionaires are making the move.

Furthermore, the country offers straightforward residency programmes, investment opportunities with relatively high returns, and favourable regulations for property ownership and business operations. The presence of major international airports and global connections also makes it easy to remain internationally active.

This combination of benefits makes the UAE attractive not only to individuals but also to entrepreneurs seeking a strategic base for their global operations.
